Touch Bike is a computer based electronic measuring system that enables a motorcycle frame to be checked quickly & simply and it's roadworthiness to be certified in minutes. A certificate can then be printed guaranteeing that the geometry of the motorcycle is correct.
Intended for use by accident repair centres, motorcycle dealers who carry out
accident repair work and any dealer who sells pre-owned bikes, the system
comprises a precision articulated arm that touches and records predetermined
points on a bike in 3 dimensions. The recorded data can be used to calculate
any deviation from tolerance and can be compared either data to supplied by the
manufacturer or contained in the supplied databank or to measurements from a
new bike.
This is essential for anyone in the motorcycle repair business. With Touch Bike
you can certify any bike's alignment to be within the manufacturer's tolerances
or to require repair. It is the fastest measurement system available today. You
can obtain faster approval from insurance assessors and more importantly you can
have total confidence that the bike is straight and safe to ride. In our
opinion every accident damaged bike should be checked properly for alignment to
guarantee the safety of the rider. All too often, only cursory checks are made
for the integrity of the frame when the bike is being inspected. Previously the
only machines which could come close to this type of comprehensive measurement
cost a fortune - some were only available to lease and all required a partial
strip down of the bike.
With Touch Bike there is generally no dismantling required to check the
relationship between the swing arm pivot and the headstock angle to be true and
undamaged. Simply touch both sides of the swingarm pivot and 2 ends of an
adaptor which fits in the headstock and that's it! The computer will do the
rest. How quick & easy do you want it? However, it doesn't end there. With
Touch Bike you can also check forks, subframes, in fact just about anything
that can be measured.
Databank updates are available via an annual subscription and the operator can
create new data files simply by measuring a new motorcycle.
